South Westmorland Family History is centred in the Greater Parish of Kendal, including the town itself and the outlying villages of Grayrigg, Longsleddale, Kentmere, Selside, Staveley, Underbarrow, Winster, Burneside, Crook, Helsington, Natland, Ings-with-Hugill, Skelsmergh, New Hutton & Old Hutton.
We also cover the surrounding Parishes of Heversham, Beetham, Burton, Kirkby Lonsdale, Windermere and Grasmere. These Parishes cover the post 1837 registration district of Kendal.
In 2011 our coverage will be expanding to include Cartmel & Hawkshead to the West, Shap and Orton to the North, Sedbergh to the East, and Warton to the South.
